Hermanos, ¡Feliz Cumpleanos!
I wanted to reserve a post to wish my two brosephs a very happy birthday:

Daniel "Dan" Maniago
Birthday: May 5, 1983
Bro Factoid: Dan plays Capcom's Street Fighter line of arcade games competitively and is a perennial finalist in Evolution, the worldwide fighting games competition. His handle is Clockw0rk, a name known and feared within gaming circles. The extent of his infamy became readily apparent to me when some groupie (unfortunately it was some dorky dood) came up to him at the mall asking for his autograph or something to that affect.
Because of all this, his resume actually reads "unparalleled hand/eye coordination". Dan is also blessed with the fact that he bears a striking resemblance to the handsome-man looks of yours truly. Looks and tastes like me, only taller! Get him while he's hott ladies!

Regino "Reggie" Maniago
Birthday: May 8, 1978
Bro Factoid: Reg currently resides in the city of Yokosuka, Japan and is currently employed at the U.S. Naval Base there. By freak coincidence, we just found out that the apartment complex he currently resides in is the same apartment complex that we stayed in as kids when my Dad was stationed there by the U.S. Navy. It was almost like he was meant to end up there. It trips me out how things come around full circle like that. Another cool thing about Reg is that he's pretty fluent in Nihongo so instead of pointing to his butt when he needs to go to the restroom like some common gaijin, he can say toire wa doko desu ka like the locals do.

Message from cuya:
It's not just the blood that flows through our veins that binds us -- that's a given. It's the struggles we've shared growing up together, through good and especially the tough times. It's a culmination of all the groundings/spankings, crazy girlfriends, Mom's tears of frustration, Pop's "I'm disappointed in you" talks, words not meant but said in anger ... it's these shared experiences that have molded us into the men we are today.
Lord knows that we don't always get along, and I know that at times it seems that I'm a harda$$ or I'm being impatient with you, but understand that it's rooted in the potential that I see in both of you. I know I don't tell you guys this enough, but I am extremely proud of you and I love you guys ... and sh*t (had to end that soft stuff with a good cuss -- can't sound like a sissy cake now can I?)

Brosky! Thanks for the post on your blog. Very touching to say the least. Yeah you're right...we've had quite a few shared experiences. Well, i'm sure that's the case with most siblings across the globe but, our ituation was/is unique in its own right...and i'm sure that anyone who knows us now or has ever met us in the past will agree with that. So, as you know we are both 28 years of age for the next couple of weeks. So, i guess the title KUYA become relavent again when you turn 29 on the 29th. Much love and thanks again.....Reg
P.S. I'm sure that in your enormous archive of photos there is a better image of myself. I think you may wanna go back and revise your post. hehehehehhe....

Hey dude, asking "where's the restroom?" is the only phrase I can say with confidence! If I ever have to pee in Japan, it won't be on the street...then again, I won't understand how to get there. That's a problem for another day.

That was one nice, heartfelt post. Are we reverting back to your old nickname, Papa Eph? Sodesune!

Rai-Rai,
Lester here, long time reader, first time caller, brother of the Goddaughter of your parents (so you and I are practically siblings). Loved the name piece btw. Stacy was named after a dear friend of the parentals, but for the unplanned kid, they just said, "Well this rhymes with Dad's name, so that's cool, I guess."
Anyways, I don't believe that 5 pics are enough to feed my stalker-ish tendencies. Even the myspace (whore) pics combined with the blog are not enough to keep Eph-fans awake at their desks.
Oh, and, sorry I've been a stranger. When/where are you getting married btw? Good news is, I now live in the same state as you! Bad news, I still live the same distance, just in the opposite direction.
Well come on! What are you waiting for? Give some of your... I think the.. uh.. "Gangsta" way of saying it is "NorCal," (maybe?) some love and post something!
Take care.
-Lester
PS. Despite my parents' lack of visiting "SoCal" (haha, I'm cool, now) in recent years, I've been to that area 4 times in 2006 alone, and I have been unable to find you (which is understanable) or Dan (doesn't get off so easily because he's located closer to Auntie Emy and co). Sooo....What up with that?
